Joshua Collingsworth was at a family gathering in June of 2008 when he slipped out of sight of his family. He was quickly discovered in the family's backyard pool, unconscious and unresponsive .Joshuas passed away three days later. Kathy & Blake Collingsworth started the Collingsworth Memorial Foundation in his honor. Their mission is to educate children and adults worldwide about water safety through the utilization of drowning prevention campaigns & early childhood water safety training. Joshua’s legacy will continue through the education of parents and children to keep them safe in and around water with new, innovative, safety education training programs and water awareness campaigns. The Rotary club of Englewood has been educating 1st graders about the importance of water safety with Josh the baby otter book reading, stickers and activity sheets. The Collingsworth recently opened a float 4 life training facility . The Rotary club of Englewood is in the process of sending two YMCA instructors for train in Nebraska. We are passionate about teaching children , parents and grand parents about water safety.
