On Friday, August 27th, the Little Miss/Mr. Englewood contest was held at the Suncoast Auditorium. The event, hosted by the Englewood Jaycees was the first of the Englewood Pioneer Days activities, and was a rousing success!

Cas­sadie Kelly, left, win­ner of the girls 7– to 9-year old cat­e­gory, and Carina Kelly, win­ner of the girls’ 31– to 47-month category.	Char­lie Mann, first place win­ner, boys’ 4– to 6-year-old category	Zamiyah Pas­cal, the first place win­ner in the 13 to 30-month category.

In days gone by, Pioneer Days always featured a children's fishing derby.

This popular event returns with the Michael O'Donnell Memorial Fish-A-Thon which will be held on Sunday morning, September 5th.
